CSA International can help you get the marks you need to sell your qualified products for international markets.

CSA International - Your one-stop service for Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand.

CSA International can assist you in the evaluation of your products to meet European requirements. CSA International is also recognised in the U.S. as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and accredited by the Standards Council of Canada in Canada. This means that we can test and certify your products for European countries, South America, Mexico, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand markets.

This gives you a convenient, ONE-STOP SERVICE advantage over other service providers and further speeds your time to market. CSA International is your complete source for global testing and evaluation.

CE Marking for Europe

The CE Marking is mandatory for marketing your products within Europe. The CE Mark indicates to European Authorities your claims of product compliance with the applicable European Union Directives.

CE Marking is your product's "passport" to 18 European countries, including:

European Union (EU): Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.

EFTA members: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway.

Not only can CSA help you verify your claims for the CE Marking you need - we are also equipped to evaluate a wide range of products to many of the European Directives.

These products include the following:

  • Information Technology Equipment
  • Audio/Video Equipment
  • Gas Appliances
  • Hospital Beds
  • Equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
  • Test and Measurement Equipment
  • Laboratory Equipment
  • Lifts

CB Scheme

If you manufacture electrical or electronic products, CSA International can show you how the Certification Body (CB) Scheme can open doors for your qualified products worldwide. We test your product to the requirements of CB member countries and issue a CB Test Certificate and Test Report. We then help you submit the CB Test Certificate and Test Report to the appropriate National Certification Body, for product certification in that country.

Currently there are 43 countries represented in the CB Scheme including China, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

IECEx Scheme

CSA International has been officially recognised as an Accepted Certification Body and Ex Testing Laboratory to operate in the IECEx (International Electrotechnical Commission Explosive) Scheme. The IECEx is an international certification scheme for electrical equipment use in explosive atmospheres (Ex equipment) including process control, industrial, signal and communication equipment. This means that we can help you demonstrate that you meet the requirements of the IECEx Scheme.

By joining the IECEx Scheme, CSA can now generate assessment test reports on Ex equipment that are accepted by certification bodies in other active IECEx Scheme member countries. These member countries include Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, U.S.A., Yugoslavia.

ATEX Directive

The ATEX Directive applies to products sold within the European Community. CSA International can provide you with one-stop service for hazardous location evaluation for the ATEX Directive.

Our relationship with KEMA, a Notified Body for the ATEX Directive, enables us to test and evaluate hazardous location equipment. CSA employees have been authorised by KEMA to perform evaluations and ATEX audits so that we can provide complete coverage under the ATEX Directive.

Additional approvals for International Markets

CSA International also has mutual agreements with some international certification organisations for acceptance of our test reports. This means that we can assist you in obtaining additional approvals with these organisations.
