An assurance of quality for manufacturers and customers

Certification marks offer peace of mind to retailers, product specifiers, regulators, and consumers alike. The CSA Mark shows that a product has been independently tested and certified to meet recognised standards for safety or performance. (See Why Standards Matter.)

In some jurisdictions in the U.S.A., certification marks are mandatory. In other jurisdictions these marks may be voluntary. In either case it makes good sense to look for a reputable certification mark on the products you buy, sell, and specify - especially in today's business climate.

Benefits

Certification marks look good on your products. They can:

  • demonstrate responsible corporate citizenship

  • show your commitment to customer satisfaction and safety

More choices

As with other services in the North American economy, you now have more testing and certification agencies to choose from.

That's good news for you. It means that, on average, manufacturers are getting their products certified more efficiently, and consumers are recognising a wider range of certification marks.

To take full advantage of the range of choices made possible by today's competitive marketplace, don't limit yourself to the certification marks of only one testing laboratory. Instead, insist on the marks of an internationally recognised testing laboratory like CSA International. CSA International is accredited to test and certify products in the U.S., Canada, Europe and around the world. CSA marks are accepted on products worldwide.
